However, it is generally considered that halal talent is represent halal executives and halal auditors who are specific to Muslims only (Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual, 2020). However, many are unaware that there are many job opportunities and career pathways that are closely linked to the halal ecosystem such as laboratory analysts, auditors for laboratory accreditation who conduct sample analysis, standardization committee and consultants who are open to individuals regardless of religious background. This discordance with the Sunnah's core principles necessitates a thorough examination of policies rooted in Islamic teachings to uphold the dignity and labor rights of domestic workers. Employing a methodology blending library research and descriptive analysis, this study systematically collects, organizes, and analyzes pertinent hadiths to illuminate the lexicon within the Sunnah pertaining to domestic workers. Through this process, various concepts and terms emerge, such as 'Asifu,' 'Ajiru,' 'Tabi'u,' 'Kafi,' and 'Khadimu,' delineating the nature and mode of their service. Furthermore, the study establishes a clear distinction between domestic workers and slaves regarding their duties, rights, and freedom. It emphasizes that while domestic workers may provide services of a religious or worldly nature, those rendered solely for financial gain hold no additional reward in this life or the Hereafter. Sunnah principles underscore the protection of domestic workers' legal rights, necessitating clear delineation of their duties and fair compensation, either within contractual terms or customary practices. Additionally, the Sunnah advocates against overworking domestic workers and emphasizes timely wage payment. Recommendations include forgiveness for transgressions and visiting workers during illness, reflecting a compassionate approach. Conversely, domestic workers are expected, according to Sunnah, to fulfill their employment obligations with sincerity. This paper contends that the conscientious adoption of its findings will significantly contribute to safeguarding the labor rights of domestic workers.
2024-05-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Huzaifa Aliyu Jangebe, Qaasim-Badmusi Saheed Biodun https://jfatwa.usim.edu.my/index.php/jfatwa/article/view/583 Facilitating Knowledge Transfer To Students Through Tayammum Trekathon In An Interactive Activities 2024-03-25T14:08:10+08:00 A'wani Aziz Nurdalila nurdalila.awani@usim.edu.my Mohd Zuhaifah Mohamed Jamil m.zuhaifah@usim.edu.my Dzulfadli Rosli dzulfadli@usim.edu.my Muhamad Firdaus Ab Rahman dzulfadli@usim.edu.my Nur Nadia Fadhlina Daman Huri NNFBintiDamanHuri1@sheffield.ac.uk
Tayammum, an essential aspect of Islamic jurisprudence, serves as an alternative method of ritual purification (ablution) when water is unavailable, or its use is impractical. To address this, interactive activities are employed to engage students actively in the learning process. This study investigates the effectiveness of utilizing interactive activities as a means to facilitate the transfer of Tayammum knowledge to students. Through a combination of hands-on experiences, simulations, and group activities, students are immersed in practical scenarios related to Tayammum is developed.

2024-05-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammad Mustaqim Roslan, Hanis Sofia J.A https://jfatwa.usim.edu.my/index.php/jfatwa/article/view/571 Kaedah Fuzzy Delphi: Rekabentuk Model Bahasa Arab Untuk Perundangan Islam Melalui Integrasi Ilmu Naqli Dan Aqli 2023-12-14T09:12:09+08:00 Ummu-Hani Abas ummuhani@usim.edu.my Mohammad Najib Jaffar najib@usim.edu.my Abdul Manan Ismail manan@usim.edu.my Azlan Shaiful Baharum azlan_arab@usim.edu.my Ahmad Asyraf Mat Ali asyrafali@usim.edu.my Rasmina Hasbullah rasmina@usim.edu.my
To support students financially, the government and universities take proactive steps to expand university funding through social funds such as zakat and waqf. This paper aims to explain the governance of zakat management in a public university, namely the Waqf and Zakat Center (PWZ) of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Zakat management at USIM was then compared with zakat management at the Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Center (WAZAN) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This study uses a qualitative approach to gain information and analyse the data for zakat management approach from both universities. The results of the study found that both PWZ and WAZAN have two main committees to manage zakat which involves reporting zakat operations in terms of collection and distribution and making decisions involving policies as well as zakat distribution management within the university. Based on the governance of the two universities, this study suggests that the State Islamic Religious Council and the university's top management give full trust to the university's zakat center to coordinate all zakat-related activities in their respective universities in addition to allowing collections to be made around the university area.
2024-05-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Associate Professor Dr. Mushaddad Hasbullah, Hakimah Hamir, Associate Professor Dr. Syahnaz Sulaiman, Professor Dr. Azman Ab Rahman
