Abstract

Interfaith dialogue is one of the methods to overcome differences among people for creating global peace. Fethullah Gulen is an influential figure who attracts researchers to discuss the issue global peace through the interfaith dialogue. This study will focus on Gulen’s thoughts of  interfaith dialogue by analyzing data from his works, official websites and articles that related with interfaith dialogue. The findings show that  Gulen’s thought on interfaith dialogue theoretically based on education and understanding of religion. Dialogue was implemented practically by using social networks and the Gulen’s Movement (Gulen Hereketi).

ABSTRAK

Dialog antara agama menjadi salah satu cara menangani perbezaan dalam kalangan manusia bagi mewujudkan keamanan global. Fethullah Gulen merupakan tokoh berpengaruh yang menjadi tumpuan para pengkaji membincangkan soal keamanan global melalui dialog antara agama. Kajian ini akan memfokuskan perbincangan mengenai pemikiran gulen terhadap dialog antara agama dengan menganalis data yang diperolehi melalui karya Gulen, laman sesawang rasmi dan artikel-artikel berkaitan dialog antara agama. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa pemikiran Gulen terhadap dialog antara agama secaranya teorinya berdasarkan pendidikan dan fahaman terhadap agama. Dialog juga dijalankan secara praktikal melalui jaringan sosial dan pergerakan Gulen .
